The Clacton & District Stroke
Association meets 5
days each week in Clacton and one afternoon a week in Harwich. The
meetings in Clacton start at 10 a.m. and lunch is provided for the
members prior to departure between 1.30-3.30pm.
Mondays creative
tasks including an art class. The day ends with mental games such as
crosswords, cards and quizzes.
A communication group is run in
conjunction with adult education in Harwich. (1.30 p.m. - 3.30 p.m.).
Tuesday are coffee mornings
will be on the first Tuesday of the month 10.00a.m. till Noon.
Wednesdays are
given to communication skills with a speech therapist and adult
education tutor in attendance.
Thursdays are
for people who have severe physical problems and maybe restricted to
wheelchairs. (10 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.)
Fridays mental
and verbal work is undertaken in the form of topical quizzes etc. A
raffle takes place and gentle exercise period.
